Can I tell you a shameful secret? Until recently I was using Tide Pods. I replaced my big-brand name detergent with something kinder and gentler … to my clothes and the environment. The higher spin gets dry faster which means less time in the actual dryer. It softens the water allowing detergent to get in there and do its job. If you’re washing a super dirty load (just came back from a camping trip) Patric recommends adding washing soda (sodium carbonate). And it saves water, something we’re always trying to do here in drought-stricken California. I’m washing all my laundry on the express cycle, in warm water, cold rinse and high spin. The shorter cycle is gentler on your laundry and things will last longer.I'm not sure what the writer tried to do with this novel but no aspect of it went well. The whole novel is like that, extremely artificial, not believable in any way, it creates a thick barrier between itself and the readers, making them unaffected bystanders instead of involving them through its characters and world. I would have even accepted it if both just went "doesn't matter, had sex" or something, but that was ruined by repeating the situation with other characters and everyone acting the opposite of how they would have in MC's case.īut even then nothing was done about it, the second attempted r*pe was shoved under a rug as well and had no consequences at all, it's disturbing how dismissing everyone in this novel is when it comes to r*pe. I get that they had to do it because the people in question are the CP and it would have looked really bad to start a story with blatant r*pe. It's VERY weird how the writer calls it "sex" when the people involved were drugged by a third party, unable to give consent, and the victims even feel responsible for each other. What's truly weird is the writer's double standards.īasically date-raping MC makes MC a perpetrator whose reputation would be ruined, but if it would happen to someone else then this person would be a victim. Other characters aren't better, they are there to cause unnecessary drama that makes them look like brainless idiots, and not only one or two of them, all characters behave like this. His whole characterisation reminds me of a rich second generation with an inflated ego and the IQ of a half-cooked potato. more> exactly the same, it was done just to show how intelligent he is. Then he's constantly scheming for no good reason, he could have played with open cards and the conclusion would have been.

It's justified by him having been an emperor, but even an emperor who treats his own family members like this would be an arse. The MC is truly unlikeable, not only is he incredibly arrogant and sometimes condescending, he causes trouble for people who treat him well, just because it's amusing, and he takes their love for granted. This is a very weird novel I'm not sure what to think about. Unexpectedly, Li Qinghong took out a global limited-edition black card, saying, “Wife…, we’re rich!” Later, the company was in crisis and on the verge of bankruptcy, and Huoji gave his remaining savings to Li Qinghong, saying that it was enough for him to live on for the rest of his life. He accepted the person’s presence and even accepted their domineering behavior, deciding to support himself. This person took care of him in every possible way, such as asking about his well-being, doing his laundry and cooking, and even making his bed. However, he did not expect that the person who had a one-night stand with him would be so clingy. He thought that by dealing with those annoying people, he could finally start a carefree life without worrying about state affairs.

When the emperor woke up from a medicine-induced sleep after the incident, he was determined to seek revenge against the person who had set him up. With his heart and soul shattered by this betrayal, Huoji began to act recklessly and became one of the antagonists who opposed the male lead everywhere, ultimately meeting a tragic end. To break off the engagement, the fiancée set up Huoji to have a one-night stand with a stranger and planned to catch him in the act. Unexpectedly, his fiancée fell in love with his half-brother, the male lead of the novel. Huo ji was weak and sickly from a young age, and after a master fortune teller’s prediction, he was destined to have a “contracted engagement” for good luck. After the death of the legendary emperor Huo ji, he transmigrated into a dog-blooded novel about a wealthy family’s grievances, becoming the same-named protagonist Huo ji.
